She was predeceased by: her husband Fred William Gerding; and her sons, Donnie Gerding and Alvin Gerding. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Gerding Owen, Debra Gerding Rickman, Kathleen Murphy Gerding, Robert Gerding and David Gerding.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Crisp Funeral Home (669 US-19, Bryson City, NC 28713). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Pigeon Forge Cemetery.
