He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, April Britt (David) of Troy, NC, Mitchell Batten Jr. (Jennifer) and Jenny Poole (Scott) of Troy, NC; his grandchildren, Emily Frye (Justin) of Irmo, SC, Taylor Britt of Charlotte, NC, Jackson, Lizzie Batten, Myrtle Beach, Kristen Poole of Charlotte, NC and Sarah Poole of Troy; his great grandchild Tinley Frye; and his siblings, Helen Lee, Toni Fish and Carlie Howard Batten.
