With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Linda Joy Polk of Brunswick, North Carolina, who passed away on October 4, 2024 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband George Polk; her sons, Ezekial J. Polk, Torrance J. Polk (Angelica) and George D. Polk (Devin) of Celina, OH; her grandchildren, Ra'Mel Polk and Aubrie Polk; her siblings, Carl Lovette of High Point, Robert Gaines of Winston-Salem, Audrey Clark of Wilmington, Brenda Cook of Winston-Salem and Constance Mallette-White of Winston-Salem; and her siblings-in-law, Lonnie Polk, Troy Polk, Leo Polk, Leola Polk, Laura Freeman, Ruby Jewel Boston, Mamie Polk, Onalee Cooper and Edna Mae Polk.
Viewing was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Douthit's Funeral Services (515 Specialty Park Dr, Winston-Salem, NC 27105). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Emmanual Baptist Church (1075 Shalimar Dr, Winston-Salem, NC 27107). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
