He was predeceased by: his parents, James Donald "Don" Gilliam and Johanna "Ann" Farmer Gilliam. He is survived by: his wife Jaime Gilliam; his son Matthew Gilliam (Traci); his grandchildren, Alexa, Alison, Orion and Gracelyn of Asheboro, NC; his son Tyler Gilliam (Joanie); his grandsons, Brendan and Asher of Jenkins, KY.; his siblings, Donnie Gilliam of Lexington, KY, Gary Gilliam (Heather) of Shelbyville, KY and Barbara Begley (Jim) of Lexington, KY; his mother-in-law Anita Blaydes of Bluefield, WV; and his siblings-in-law, Dr. Stephen Blaydes (Kathleen) of Bluefield, WV and Elizabeth Blaydes Lewis of Alpharetta, GA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
