With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herbert Bennett Alley of Browns Summit, North Carolina, born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on January 23, 2024 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Alley, Sr. and Minnie Frances Lester Alley; and his siblings, Maurine Alley, Reverend J. C. Alley, Leroy Stuart Alley and Robert Alley, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Alley of Browns Summit; his daughter Lisa Alley of Browns Summit; and his sister Louise Alley Case of Greensboro. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
