He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Leonard and Ruth Chandler Leonard; and his siblings, Ernestine Myers, Mary Lou Jones and Bill Leonard.
He is survived by: his wife Frankie Sue Poe Leonard; his daughters, Karen Leonard Hedrick (Phillip), Sheree Leonard and Jennifer Leonard Nunn (Joseph); his grandson Phillip Hedrick Jr.; and his brother Jimmy Leonard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
