He was predeceased by: his parents, William Earle Patterson Sr. and Minnie Bell Patterson; and his siblings, Charles Patterson and Jeane Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Monica Patterson of Broadway; his children, Elizabeth Clayton (Ward) of Jacksonville, FL, William Earle Patterson III (Patty) of Kannapolis, NC and John Patterson (Jill); and his grandchildren, Monica Clayton, Will Clayton and Grace Patterson.
