It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Upchurch of Broadway, North Carolina, who passed away on August 8, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Bethea and Flora May Black Smith; her husband Burton Upchurch; and her son Lynn Parker. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Uriah Parker (Ashley) of Broadway and Torrie Bell (Josh) of Fuquay-Varina; her great grandchildren, Isaiah, Elijah Parker, Sara Graves, Summer Bell, Liberty Bell and J. J. Bell; and her siblings, James Louis Smith of Lillington, Vivian Smith of Broadway and Christine Vinson of Autryville. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In accordance with current North Carolina COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home requests that everyone in attendance practice social distancing and wear a face covering.
