He is survived by: his children, Ricky Daniel Mimms and Tabitha Hyatt; his stepdaughter Melissa Britt; his grandchildren, Aaralyn Abrithe Sasser, Wesley Scott Hyatt and Silas Ren Hyatt; his sisters, Janet Mimms, Marsha Mimms and Loraine Mimms; and his close friend Nina Vinson.
