He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Gale Black Sr. and Wilma Morrison Black; and his former wife Inez McCormick Black. He is survived by: his wife Ann Thomas Black; his siblings, Carolyn Sutton of Sanford, NC., Jerry Black (Hilda) of Ash, NC and Mitchell Black of Sanford, NC.; his stepchildren, Paula Layton (Harold) of Sanford, NC and Bob Hart (Rhonda) of Topsail Beach, NC.; his stepgrandchildren, Morgan Graham, Grant Layton, Dakota Hart, Stacy Mansfield and Brooks Mansfield; and his nieces and nephews, Paula Murray, Tracey Gentry, Shawn Herring, Tori Ferguson, Kevin Knight and Darrell Black.
