He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank William Tipton and Helen Elizabeth Tipton; his brother Leslie Tipton; and his wife Sue Iseley Tipton. He is survived by: his children, Lara Tipton Whitt (Frederick) of Greensboro, NC and Ross Tipton (Lindsay) of Sanford, NC; his grandchildren, Madden Tipton, Iyla Tipton, Parker Tipton, Jake Whitt, Jordan Whitt and Jenna Whitt; and his sister-in-law Kathy Tipton of High Point. He is also survived by his son and grandson.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in memory of Larry Tipton to the Central Carolina Community College Foundation, as he enjoyed many years of helping young adults through his work at the college.
