With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Henry Joseph Messina Jr. (Broadway, North Carolina), who passed away on March 5, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Messina Sr. and Marie Stella Elaro Messina; his former wife Betty Wood Messina; his sisters, Pauline Anisman and May Benoit; his stepdaughter Debra Ballard McLean; and his grandson Stephen Ballard.
He is survived by: his friend Ernest Tubb (George Jones); his wife Nancy Taylor Messina; his brother Pat Messina (Judy) of Houma, Louisiana; his daughters, Robin Elliott (Dennis Hunt) of Sanford and Pamela Messina of Willow Springs; his stepchildren, Darrell Ballard and Donna Ballard; his grandchildren, Mandy Dalrymple (Chris), Marci Townsend (Ryan), Nathan Allen and Cole Ballard; and his great grandchildren, Lauren Powers, Laine Townsend, Nate Allen, JC Allen and Ben Allen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
