He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Cordevant and Elizabeth Cordevant; his wives, Bertha Cordevant and Mona McNeill; his son Lanny Cordevant; his siblings, Hope, Alice Friedman, Doris, Ralph and Lester Cordevant; and his great grandchild Tyler Dandron.

He is survived by: his son Jerry Cordevant (Debbie); his grandchildren, Eric, Melissa (Jake), April, Andy, Chris, Tess and Nick; and his siblings, Bill Cordevant of Illinois and Betty Reed of Utah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Southside Baptist Church (108 Knowledge St, Broadway, NC 27505).
