He was predeceased by: his father William Gordon Betts; his wife Wilma Alberta Griffiths; his sons, Scott Thomas Betts and Dale Eugene Betts; and his brother Richard Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Victoria Lynn Young (James) of Broadway, John Andrew Betts of Parkton and Christopher Robert Betts of Illinois; and his brother Robert Scott. He is also survived by three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
