Young of Brevard, North Carolina, born in Jackson, North Carolina, who passed away on June 1, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Young and Georgia Young; and his wife Mary Joyce Holden Young. He is survived by: his children, Alan Young (Teresa), Marilyn Cook and Wanda Robinson; his grandchildren, Jodie Cook, Derek Cook, Michael Gaeta, Brandon Gaeta, Nathan Price and Kyle Young; and his close friend Kay Brown. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the church he loved and served for 61 years, Brevard Community Church of the Nazarene.
