He was predeceased by: his parents, James T. Gifford Sr. and Florence Kenyon Gifford; and his son Scott Gifford. He is survived by: his wife Marian Gifford; his daughter Cindy Sutherin; his daughter-in-law Janet Feffer (Scott); his children, Sue Gifford, Teppen (Randy), Ree Gifford (Steve), Kurt Gifford (Sue), Mike Gifford (Page), Craig Gifford and Christine Petrusha (David); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Eakes (Nick), Madison Petrusha and Noah Shelton; and his brother James T. Gifford Jr. (Elfrieda). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Open Arms Tabernacle (91 McLean Rd, Brevard, NC 28712).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wally's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
