It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Stamey (Brevard, North Carolina), who passed away on April 17, 2019, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Stamey and Mildred Shelton Stamey. He is survived by: his wife Joy Stamey; his children, Jacob Stamey, Isaac Stamey and Emily Stamey; and his siblings, Pete Stamey (Kathy) of Hendersonville, Eddie Stamey of Cedar Mountain, Colita Barton (Kenneth) of Brevard, Karen Stamey of Pisgah Forest and Lisa Moss (Dwayne) of Brevard.

“Rogers family I want you guys to know how sorry I am for the loss of roger. I’ve lost siblings and it’s a tough road but one thing you guys have is assurance that’s roger is in heaven right now no if ands or buts. What a time time to rejoice just knowing he’s in heaven. I really love you guys like siblings we were raised together and I lived with you guys for years and loved my childhood memories growing up with you all. I really hate this has happened but gods will has been completed for an unknown reason to us but something will come from this if it hasn’t already. Roger being saved is the most important thing that’s came from this. I really pray for all you brothers and sisters will get peace in your hearts. I really have a lump in my stomach for joy and the kids. What a real loss for them a father and a husband and there everything that there life revolves around every day is now gone. I’ve been there the kids are really going to have a hardship but god is in control and we have to put our trust in him. I’m in Hershey pa till Sunday I’m sorry I can’t make the service but Michelle will be there and I really love all you guys and I’m praying for god to comfort you guys.”
