He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Owen and Emma Owen; his siblings, Viola Owen, Thelma Maggard, Al Owen, Virgie Galloway, Curtis Owen and Wilkie Owen; and his grandson John Owen.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his sons, Brian Owen and Scott King-Owen; his granddaughters, Abigail and Samantha Owen; and his siblings, Dixie Owen, Dan Owen and Rosalee Bruce.
