He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lee "Hoss" Stamey and Helen Josephine Stamey; and his brother James Allard Stamey. He is survived by: his wife Teresa McCrary Stamey; his sons, Michael Stamey Jr. (Bucky), Joshua Stamey and Johnathan Stamey; his siblings, Sandra Wray (Maury), Harold "Lee" Stamey Jr. and David Stamey (Jane); his cousin Robert Shealy; and also Mike. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
