It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ware Vorus of Brevard, North Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on September 28, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William R. Vorus and Mary Ware Vorus; and her brother Henry Ware Vorus. She is survived by: her sons, William "Billy" Cowart and Heath Cowart (Melinda Hendershott); her granddaughter Kaia Tope-Cowart; and her siblings, William Vorus (Julie) and Ann Parkhurst (Jack). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
