She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ingle Ford and Rhoda Greene Ford; her husband Albert Mote Jr.; and her brother Rannie Ford. She is survived by: her brothers, Joe Ford (Julia) and Norman Ford of Boone, NC; and her children, Misty Mote-McCall (Chris) of Horse Shoe and Forrest Mote (Ginger) of Hendersonville. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials in her memory be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
