He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Howard Newton and Myrtle McCall Newton; and his sister Sandy Newton Collins. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Newton of Rosman and Chris Newton of Asheville; his brothers, Dean Newton of Hendersonville, Dale Newton (Kathy) of Cedar Mountain and Wayne Newton (Evelyn) of Pisgah Forest; and his granddaughters, Hannah, Sydney Hutchins of Rosman and Lindsey Newton of Asheville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
