Karen Handschin Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Handschin (Brevard, North Carolina), who passed away on July 1, 2018, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Karen Handschin to pay them a last tribute.
She is survived by: her parents, Beverly Hattum and James Hattum; her husband Richard; her siblings, James Hattum of Brentwood, CA and JoAnne Hattum-Schmidt of Diablo, CA; and her children, Mark Robinson, Donna Sampanes of Tempe, AZ., Christine Barry and Kelly Barry. She is also survived by four grandchildren, nieces and nephews, a grand niece and two grand nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to the Rotary Foundation (Karen was a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International), SAFE of Transylvania County, Rise and Shine Freedom School, The Mission Endowment Fund of The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, or to Care Partners Hospice.
