It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Alan Swenson (Brevard, North Carolina), who passed away on June 17, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Theodore and Florence Marian Swenson (Innes); his brother William Gregory'Greg'Swenson; his son-in-law Frederick Gillen; his sister Rhoda; his brother-in-law Frank Quinn; and his brother Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Gutknecht Hobbs; his children, Deborah Anne Gillen, Robert Alan (Cathy) and Shane Noel (Mary Ellen); his grandchildren, Chad, Jenilee Schroeder (Chris), Jessica, Erin, Michelle, Rebecca, Shannon and Shane Alan; his stepgrandchildren, Zach (Gabby) and Will; his great grandchildren, William, Elizabeth and Arthur; and his sister Janice Swenson Mathisen (Mel).
