He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Davis and Dorothy C. Davis; and his former wives, Carolyn Harvey Davis and Margaret Penoyer Davis. He is survived by: his wife Betty W. Davis; his children, Lynn Steele (Gene), Susan Geer (Paul) and George Davis (Kristin); his stepchildren, Cheri Ratz (Rob), Michelle Penoyer, Paul Penoyer (Jackie), Beth Hogan, Kay Jones (Chuck), Karen Tino (Bill) and Kimberly Nash; and his grandchildren, Andrew Steele, Matthew Steele, Bethany Scardaville (Rick), Rachel Carley (Josh), Jonathon Geer (Hannah), Katie Geer, Ben Geer, Grayson Davis, Braydon Davis and Rylan Davis. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; 15 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Brevard First United Methodist Church.
