It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Fraser Jones of Brevard, North Carolina, born in Athens, Georgia, who passed away on August 7, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Carlyle Rood and Jack Fraser Rood (Ashlee); her stepchildren, Kathryn Jones and Christopher Jones (Crystal); her brothers, Robert Fraser (Carol) and Thomas C. Fraser (Helen); her grandchildren, Charles Golucke Rood (Trey), Wesley Carlisle Rood (Waverly), Allison Capper Falconer (Wiley), Charles Rood (Chip), Andrew Slocum Capper, Charlotte Alane Rood, Jack Fraser Rood Jr. (Jackson), Georgia Lindsay Rood and Charles Henry Rood; and her great grandchildren, William John Falconer IV, Luke Thomas Falconer, Matilda Alane Falconer, Charles Golucke Rood IV (Charlie) and Lawson Fraser Rood.
