He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Shook and Clercy Hooper Shook; his wife Ernestine Shook; and his son-in-law Russell Merritt. He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Shook (Sandi) of Brevard, Tina Shook of Brevard, Brenda Merritt of Brevard and Sherle Annmann (Randy); and his son-in-law Gerald Furney. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
