James Hill Johnstone III Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Hill Johnstone III of Brevard, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 9, 2024 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hill Johnstone, Jr. and Ruth Betsill Johnstone; and his sister Wilhelmina Betsill. He is survived by: his wife Cecelia Whitesides Johnstone of Brevard; his children, Antonio Johnstone of Arden, Julia Gray of Atlanta and Malissa Johnstone of Candler; his stepdaughter Roslyn Whitesides of Brevard; his siblings, Nicholas Johnstone (Andrea) of Boston, MA, Vicki Johnstone Davis of Lakeland, FL, Wanda Johnstone Foster (Victor) of Brevard, Wendell Johnstone of Oxon Hill, MD and Jonalyn Johnstone Crite (Terry) of Brevard; and his uncle L. C. Betsill of Brevard. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
