He was predeceased by: his father James Henry Whitlock, Sr.; his brother Terry Lane Whitlock; and his grandson James Tyler Warren. He is survived by: his children, Gayla Whitlock Phillips (Kelvin) of Brevard, Robbie Whitlock Warren (Jerry) of Brevard and James Henry Whitlock III (Rita) of Galax, VA; his grandchildren, Jillian Phillips Owen (Matthew) of Brevard, Ian Phillips (Alicia) of Brevard, Natalie Warren Pace (Adam) of Taylors, SC and James Henry Whitlock IV (Chelsey) of Raleigh, NC; his great grandchildren, Claire, Cooper, Carson Owen, JJ and Tyler Pace; and his sister Sandra Whitlock Howell (Jimmie) of Brevard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
