With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James E. Legere (Brevard, North Carolina), born in Oak Park, Illinois, who passed away on February 17, 2019 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Martha; his son Scott LeGere (Kelly) of Minneapolis; his granddaughter Lena; and his niece Cathi Sanders of Healdsburg.

“My name is Barbara Tuttle (née) Grottke, age 76. I grew up in Oak Park at 1027 Clarence, houses away from Jimmy LeGere. As children, Jimmy, Vicky Julian, Teddy Boomker, Ruth Ann Staley and I spent hours of play time together. Tonight my grandkids were asking me about childhood friends, as my granddaughter was googling the names, I was sorry to hear that Jimmy LeGere had just passed away. Blessings to your family from a childhood friend with fond memories. I still live in the Chicago area.”
