He is survived by: his spouse Teresa Rice Howell; his parent Cornelia Gardin Howell; his daughters, Kenya Hackett (Tedrick) of Spartanburg, SC and Melissa Owens of Asheville, NC; and his siblings, Lewis Howell of Brevard, NC and Kay Howell of Brevard, NC. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
