He is survived by: his daughter Mary Frances Dobbins; his siblings, Evelyn Stairs, Elouise Hill, William Dobbins and James Dobbins; his grandson John Adams; his wife Frances Dobbins; his sons, Brian Dobbins (Patricia) of Raleigh and Sean Dobbins (Christina) of Brevard; his sister Doris Glance of Rutherfordton; and his grandchildren, Jacob, Jimmy, Vickie, Zachary, Rebekah, Robert "Elwood" and Rachel.
