He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathew Shonka and Elsie Schroeder Shonka; and his siblings, Don Shonka and Donna Shonka King. He is survived by: his children, Dan Shonka (Deanie), Pete Shonka (Linda) and Rachelle Shonka Hadley (Paul); and his nieces, Sue Nastase, Cathy Grant, Debbie Milks and Jane Carr. He is also survived by four grandsons, four granddaughters.
