It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Gilstrap (Brevard, North Carolina), born in Liberty, South Carolina, who passed away on September 9, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Henry and Elsie Aiken Gilstrap; his sister Emma Jean Beard (Arnold) of Easley; and his children, Constance Louise Truesdail (Richard), David Gaines Gilstrap (Sharon) and Charles Logan Gilstrap (Jane). He was also cherished by five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to First United Methodist Church of Brevard.
