Dovie Whitmire Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dovie Whitmire (Brevard, North Carolina), who passed away on August 5, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charlie; her children, Joy W. Nelson and Bradley; her parents, Benson Galloway and Fannie Galloway Meece; and her siblings, Dalice Shepard and Earl Meece.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Whitmire (Janice), Sherry Owen (Dennis), Sue Potts, Hank Whitmire (Melinda) and Scott Whitmire (Peggy); and her sisters, Ann Harvey, Connie Patterson and Ellen Gilstrap. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.
