He was predeceased by: his sisters, Lottie McClung, Christine Jackson and Mildred Williams; and his grandson Isaac W. Tinsley. He is survived by: his spouse Martha Pressley Tinsley; his children, Sharon Hogsed (Mike) and Larry Tinsley (Lynne); his grandchildren, Trevor Hogsed (Sabrina), Caleb Tinsley, Jessica Pressley (Sammy), Hannah Tinsley and Rebekah Tinsley; his great grandchildren, Colby Hogsed, Drew Pressley, Cade Pressley, Kaitlyn Pressley, Megan Pressley, Shai Pascoe and Kealey McDaniels; and his great great grandchild Zoey Pascoe.
