He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Wade Hunter and Ola Wallin Hunter; his siblings, Nancy Hunter Wilde and Franklin "Butch" Hunter; and his great grandchild Emmett Hunter-Eden Burchill.
He is survived by: his wife Pearl Hunter; his sister Frankie Hunter Herdy; and his children, Wade Lewis Hunter, Maria Hunter Buehler, Debbie Reneau and Bill Craigo. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to one of two charities that were dear to Don, the Wounded Warrior Project or Doctors without Borders.
