She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Daniel U. Smith and Ada Bell "Webbie" Smith; her husband Sam; her children, Susan (Erika) and Nathan (Kara); her grandson Harrison; and her son Samuel A. Brewton III.
To honor her life, the family requests that donations in her name be directed to the Transylvania County Schools Educational Foundation, St. Phillips Episcopal Church, or the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
