He is survived by: his wife Mary Meece Gillespie; his son Jimmy (Kathy) of Travelers Rest, SC; his grandchildren, Robbie Gillespie, Charissa Gillespie, Kimberly Sizemore and Mary Katherine Sizemore; and his sister Victoria Trent of Brevard, NC..
