He was predeceased by: his wife Janette Raines; his parents, Charles Russell Ziegler and Ruth Elliot Ziegler (Waldrop); his stepfather Raymond Fidelia Waldrop; and his daughters, Polly Darcus and Katherine Ruth Ziegler.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Russell Ziegler (Vivien), Van Blake Ziegler, Rhonda Brown (Kenny) and Sandra Lee Ziegler; and his friend Robert Cilley. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
