He is survived by: his wife Mildred Pressley Candler; his sons, Dave Candler (Brenda) of Mills River, Michael Wood (Dale) of Brevard and Gerald Wood (Tammy) of Rosman; his grandchildren, Josh Candler, Draven, Chandler Wood, Cameron Wood, Logan Wood, Melony Wood, Colbie Wood and Khloe Wood; his niece Donna Hileman of Candler; and his nephew Allen Chandler.
