He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin George Garner Sr. and Annie Bell Garner; his wife Mary Jo Fayssoux Garner; his son Gregory Fayssoux Garner; his siblings, Lee Garner, Marvin George Garner Jr. and Bertie Stowe; and his in-laws, Richard "Pete" Fayssoux and Lila Mosely.
He is survived by: his sister Bonnell Mahaffey; his siblings-in-law, Morgan, Jim Fayssoux and Emily Fayssoux; his sons, Dave and Joe Garner; his daughters-in-law, Jane and Amy Garner; and his grandsons, Brick, Payton and Evan Garner.
