He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Paxton and Louise Norton Owen; and his brother Pete Owen. He is survived by: his wife Mavis Shipman Owen; his sons, Joel of Brevard, NC and Jeffrey Owen of Brevard, NC; his grandchildren, Wyatt, Tyler and Jessica Owen; and his cousin Nathan Norton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations (100 N Country Club Rd, Brevard, NC 28712). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
