He was predeceased by: his former wife Reba Petit Powell; and his grandson Toby Lee Powell. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Parson Powell; his son Girtha Lee Powell (Kathy); and his grandchildren, Aaron Powell (Michelle) and Ryan Powell (April). He is also survived by five stepchildren, Rachael Cash, James Whitmire and wife Bobbie, Paulette Aiken and husband Donald, Steve Whitmire and wife Nina, Sheila Burnette and husband David; twelve step- grandchildren, twenty-four step great-grandchildren.
