She was predeceased by: her parents, Avery Galloway and Blanche Galloway; her husband Boyce A. Whitmire; her sisters, Marylou Byers, Patricia Lawter and Brenda Scruggs; and her stepfather Emmett Moore.
She is survived by: her sons, Ron B Whitmire (Susan) and Terry L Whitmire (Laurie); her grandchildren, Celeste Williams (Sam), Justin Whitmire (Jess), Shannon Ropp, Ashley Owen (Chris), Aaron Whitmire (Alicia) and Heather Whitmire; and her siblings, RayVon Galloway (Carolyn), Wanda Fisher (Glen) and Bobbie Merrill (Gene). She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
