He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Taylor of Commerce; his son Matt; his grandsons, Matthew and Barrett Mayes of Augusta; his great grandchild Tanner Mayes; his nephews, Brent Mayes (Carla) and Richard Mayes of Portland, OR.; and also Ralphine Highsmith Mayes of Brevard.
