Barry Ellis Curlee Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barry Ellis Curlee Sr. of Brevard, North Carolina, who passed away on January 22, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Paul Curlee and Agnes "Sis" Curlee; his stepfather Clarence Ellis Curlee; his daughter Lucinda Curlee; his stepbrothers, Louis and Edward Curlee; and his brothers-in-law, Philip and Joseph Hamblin.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean Curlee; his children, Jennifer Curlee Bridges (Chris), Stefanie Curlee Huffstetler (Chris) and Barry Ellis Curlee, Jr. (Jessicah); his grandchildren, Kristen Saige Huffstetler, Hannah Nicole Anderson (Darren), Joshua David Huffstetler (Kristin), Samuel Ellis Curlee, Olivia Eden Manuel (Cymon) and Sofiah Grace Curlee; his great grandchildren, Elijah Luke Anderson, Malachi Gregory Anderson, SayDee Lucinda Huffstetler and Elizabeth Saige Huffstetler; his stepsisters, Doris Curlee Selvage and Brenda Curlee Holden; his cousins, John and Marty Pressley; and his in-laws, Ranynelle Hamblin, John, Paula Baucom, Shelley Hamblin, Mitzi Hamblin, Jim and Tina Hamblin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brevard Church of God (91 McLean Rd, Brevard, NC 28712). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to be made in Barry's memory to a veteran's cause or a charity of your choice, reflecting his lifelong dedication to helping others.
