She is survived by: her children, Doug Whitaker (Susan) of Clinton, TN and Patti Whitaker (Mike) of Penrose, NC; her grandchildren, Ryan Monteith (Susan), Keagan Monteith (Sarah), Madeleine Monteith, Caroline Cross (Taylor) and Natalie Whitaker; her sister-in-law Carie Talley of Matthews, NC; and her caregivers, Jan, Missy, Ty, Levan, Anita and Joy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
