She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lowder and Mabel Lowder; her husband Charles B Whitley; her son Stan Whitley; and her brother Jim Lowder.
She is survived by: her children, Toni Gant (Randall) of Pisgah Forest and Jeff Whitley (Sharon) of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Brooke Zawoysky (Matt), Chris Mulenex (Erin), Randi Frizzell (Bobby), Lauren Hackett (Adam) and Kaitlyn Whitley; her great grandchildren, Rylynn Hackett, Hayden, Teagan Zawoysky, Everett, Everli Searcy and Zoey Frizzell; and her sisters, Betty Gilliam of Charlotte, NC and Billie Talbert of Pawleys Island, SC.. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
