It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ricky Walker (Brasstown, North Carolina), born in Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Erma Wright-Walker; and his sister Lori Kilby. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Walker; his daughter Paige Thorley; his son-in-law Tommy Thorley; his children, Nathan Walker, Amelia Walker and Colin Walker (Andrea Thomas); his father Sherdie "Gene" Walker; his sisters, Elizabeth Anderson and Melissa Card; his brother-in-law Michael Card; his brother Kenneth Oliver; his sister-in-law Sharon Oliver; his brother James Walker; his brothers-in-law, Frederick Slough and Thomas Slough; and his grandchildren, Nikolai Walker, Amalee Walker, Mikah Thorley, Kai Thorley, Erabella Thorley, Ira Thorley and Bodie Thorley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and aunts and uncles.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at 172 Dog Branch Rd, Brasstown, NC 28902. A reception will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall of Upper Peachtree Baptist Church (3015 Upper Peachtree Rd, Murphy, NC 28906).
